As internet video entrepreneur YouTube and owner Google bat away a flurry of complaints and lawsuits alleging privacy violation and enfringement of copyright, the three month old marriage of big business and edgey internet startup looks like facing more than a few hurdles.
Do simple social and business rules limit what the new internet video-sharers can do? Are big tough parents like Google capable of bringing them into line? Or is complete control of content on an increasingly interactive world wide web beyond traditional regulation?
Join Rodney Smith and guests, technology columnist and commentator Bill Thompson, Alex Griffiths, director of oncampusuk, a London-based social networking service providing facilities for universities, and the chief executive and founder of the Paris-based Daily Motion social networking website, Benjamin Bejbaum.
